Cure Addiction Now is a nonprofit with the goal of funding research for substance abuse disorders. The fundraising event will take place Monday, Nov. 9, at The Beverly Hills Hotel. Grammy-winning Siedah Garrett and the alternative pop/rock band X Ambassadors, featuring Alec Benjamin and Sam Nelson Harris, will have a live performance at the venue.
“The event will unite supporters, advocates, and experts to raise critical funds for CAN’s groundbreaking initiatives,” Co-Founder Nancy Davis said.
In collaboration with leading scientists while addressing both addiction and mental health, CAN is working toward the goal of eliminating stigma and delivering life-saving solutions.

Beginning in 2018, CAN was co-founded by Nancy Davis and her late son, Jason Davis. The nonprofit is changing the game with its innovation and science-driven approach to the issue with the help of leading doctors from Mount Sinai, Harvard, Yale, UCLA, Scripps, University of Washington, UC Davis, Columbia, University of Kentucky, Johns Hopkins and the University of Texas Medical Branch.
CAN has funded 23 studies focused on making detox easy and affordable, developing therapies for curbing the craving mechanism in the brain, and advancing vaccine research.
Eliminating the shame and stigma that exists within people with addictions attempting to seek help is another large goal for the nonprofit. Individuals feeling empowered to go through recovery without judgment is CAN’s central goal.
“Recognizing the deep connection between addiction and mental health, CAN emphasizes that substance use disorder is not merely a physical dependency, but a disease often intertwined with challenges including anxiety, depression and trauma,” said Davis.
